John 14:28-29

John 14:28-29 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I. And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.

“The deep heartfelt joy in a believes heart, is the Blessed Assurance.”

  • John 15:11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
    • Joy is divine.
    • Joy does not depend on circumstances or happiness.
    • Joy springs from faith.
    • Joy of future reward makes and keeps one faithful.
  • THE SOURCE OF JOY
    • (1) The cross of Jesus causes believers to rejoice.

    • (2) The risen Savior causes believers to rejoice.

    • (3) The greatness of the Father causes believers to rejoice.

    • (4) A confirmed faith causes believers to rejoice.
